Since I like free things (and probably you, too), here are some helpful resources I've discovered that won't cost you a dime to use.
Milanote - Easy-to-use website that helps you organize your ideas, stories, or even scheduling. You create "boards" and can create whichever kind you want. Character arcs, story planning, or a weekly plan.
Edit Out Loud - Lets you upload and listen to your story. You might think, "Well, I can just read my story." You might miss a typo that you haven't noticed because your eyes glossed over it. You can also reach out to beta readers and they can't download your story. It allows them, and you, to leave comments for any changes to make.
Far warning though, there aren't a whole lot of people using the app/website, so don't feel bad if no one has reached out to you yet. My story has been sitting there for weeks and still no responses.
AutoCrit - Great editing software that features a thesaurus, grammar check, dialogue, and more. What I love most is how it allows you to create Projects to organize all of your files into one folder. Very helpful.
That's it for now. If you have any suggestions, let me know since I love discovering new things to use. Thank you, and good luck.
